Time Out Market Montréal welcomes its new concession by Chanthy Yen, a Pan-Canadian cuisine concept that represents the culinary essence of Canada. Opening March 29th, the menu spotlights Chef Chanthy’s passion for Canadian cuisine and weaves together multiple provinces and cultures.The idea for the new concession first began as Chanthy reflected on all his past and current travels across Canada, as Yen's fortunate journey has allowed him to get a taste of the country from the perspective of the multiple cities, allowing him to conceptualize the term “Pan Canadian” cuisine. Serving up the best of the city under one roof, Time Out Market Chicago, located at 916 W. Fulton Market, is excited to add to its carefully curated showcase of delicious cuisine with the addition of Avli and Big Kids. Featuring modern Greek cuisine and unique sandwiches, both concepts will open this April just in time for Spring in Chicago.  AvliOpening April 11 at 11 a.m.  Founder and Managing Partner Louie Alexakis and Partner Lou Canellis teamed up to bring contemporary Greek to Chicago in 2018 with the opening of Avli Taverna in Lincoln Park and River North in 2019. In 2021, they opened Avli on The Park with Executive Chef Nikolaos Kapernaros in Chicago's Lakeshore East neighborhood and are excited for its next location in Time Out Market. The menu, curated by Alexakis and Kapernaros, will feature Avli classics found across all locations, classic Greek regional specialties, as well as a Greek Street Food menu. Guests can expect to find a range of options from signature classics, inventive Greek small plates, and a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Time Out, the global media and hospitality business that helps people explore and experience the best of the city, has partnered with LA Tourism and Visit California in a digital/IRL hybrid experience to bring all things Oscars and Los Angeles to New York City. The Time Out Creative Solutions team, working on a first-time partnership with LA Tourism and Visit California, has curated a campaign to encourage travel to Los Angeles, ending with an exclusive, sold-out Oscars Watch Party on Sunday, March 27 at Time Out Market New York. Hosted by actor and comedian, Chinedu Unaka, for one night only, guests will be transported behind the velvet rope arriving to a fully decked out Oscars-themed celebration. As a night of Hollywood glamour unfolds, guests will enjoy an evening with LA-inspired cocktails, a $50 Time Out Market card to purchase food and drinks, a fun photo booth, a “Best in Film” ballot station, and interactive games set to a California playlist. Miami-based Japanese restaurant Bubusan is bringing its hand-crafted sushi and “Magic Pizza” to Time Out Market New York this spring. Opening March 23, Market guests will be able to find Bubusan in Time Out’s First Floor eatery, fresh off its successful launch at Time Out Market Miami.  “We’re ecstatic to have Bubusan bring their creativity to Time Out Market New York,” said Scott Ubert, General Manager for Time Out Market New York. “The Time Out Market team loves what they’ve done for Miami and believe their fresh approach to sushi will excite even the discerning New York foodies as our team continues to raise the bar for what guests expect to experience here at the Market in New York.”   A concept that originated as a ghost kitchen in their Azabu location in Miami, Bubusan features experiential dishes such as: Magic Tuna Pizza - a crispy, eight-inch pie topped with fresh tuna, sliced onions, and finished off with a drizzle of truffle oil as well   Onigiri - triangular stuffed rice balls   Hearty Fresh and Cool Sushi Boxes complete with Nigiri and rolls   The playful sushi concept will open on March 23. Time Out Market Miami introduces Necessary Purveyor, an upscale sandwich and salad concept, Bebito’s Cafecito, divine pastries and smoothies with Cuban-American flair, and Little Liberty, a sister concept to Miami Beach’s beloved Sweet Liberty, serving up American comfort fare by Chef Michelle Bernstein and boozy milkshakes. Showcasing a refined take on a beloved classic, owner Tyler Dabestani has developed an eclectic menu featuring southern-inspired creations, originating in the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida, and the bread is baked daily by Bettant Bakery. Guests can expect packed sandwiches, including Jasper's Choice with prosciutto di parma, buffalo mozzarella, arugula, with a balsamic glaze; Roasty Manchego with seasoned roast beef, manchego, fig, arugula, topped with sesame dressing; and Turkey Avo an original take on a turkey sandwich, which features turkey, cheddar, avocado, lettuce, tomato, clover sprouts, dill pickles with chipotle aioli. Time Out Market, the world’s first food and cultural market rooted in editorial curation, announces Sandy Hayek has been appointed to the role of co-CEO, Time Out Market.  Reporting into Time Out Group CEO Chris Ohlund, and working alongside Time Out Market Co-CEO Didier Souillat, in this newly created role Sandy will be instrumental in day-to-day operations at Time Out Market, with a focus on optimising operations, growing auxiliary revenue and overseeing vendor relations. Didier will fully focus his efforts on accelerating the expansion of the Time Out Market business to South America, Africa, Europe and Asia and will be fully responsible for new locations, investment, initial curation and site development. Sandy joined Time Out Market Dubai as General Manager in early 2021, playing a critical role in its successful launch and continued business growth. She brings a wealth of experience and industry expertise to the position, with a career spanning over 18 years in hospitality across Scandinavia and the UAE. Prior to joining Time Out Market, Sandy served as the F&B Operations Manager for Nakheel Group, launching Depachika Food Hall on Palm Jumeirah and the Food District at The Pointe. Time Out Market Miami will introduce Clyde’s Caribbean – a contemporary Trinidadian concept by Christopher Leacock (a.k.a. Jillionaire, formerly of electronic dance music DJ trio Major Lazer) on Wednesday, February 23. It will be a welcome addition to the Market, which captures and celebrates the soul of the city through chef-inspired events, installations from local artists and live entertainment. Named after his grandfather and the Caribbean island’s first black Registrar General, Clyde Byer, the menu presents a range of dishes that explore the island's depth of flavors as well as its cultural influences from the Indian and African diaspora. Guests can expect small plates of Codfish Fritters with a tamarind dipping sauce, Pumpkin Corn Soup and Jerk Wings served with a side of house-made cassava chips. Bigger appetites can enjoy larger plates of Jerk Chicken, Jerk Salmon or Coconut Curried Shrimp, served with fragrant coconut rice, sweet plantains and a side salad. Weekend brunch specials include modern Caribbean classics, including Curried Crab and Dumplings, Oxtail Grilled Cheese, Jerk Chicken Hash, and Ackee & Saltfish.
